Not a good day for the Redbirds.  They fall to 4 back of the Brewers and Cubs with the 12-3 loss at Wrigley.  Ouch! The Cardinals just CAN NOT hit those soft throwing lefties.  Ted Lilly beat them once again.  It’s not going to get any easier with Chris Duncan likely done for the season too.  That’s Rolen, Encarnacion, Carpenter, Duncan… Who else!  Sounds like  after the 2007 season.  Could it get any tougher for the 2006 World Champs?  Ankiel went a disturbing 0-4 with 4 k’s and the HGH controversy is clearly affecting his play.  Not only that, but some Cardinal ‘fans’ are not happy with the way he is handling things.  We think he is handling the issue fine.

Let’s go Redbirds… Get a sweep this week and pull within a couple games before this weekend.
