Miles wasn’t signed to be a backup with all the other guys we have on the team. Backup yes. But not with Izturis, Kennedy, Spiezio and Ryan around. Something is up.
Is it another trade? One involving Ryan, Spiezio and/or Kennedy? Could be an outfielder going in a trade, hence, the media blurb of Juan Gonzalez possibly invited to ST.
Is it Kennedy is still hurt? He’s not going to ready? We can’t or won’t keep keep all of them on the Major League roster.
Somethin’s up.

I wasn’t happy with the Miles signing. I don’t want to see Ryan get sent back to Memphis. I think, if given the opportunity, he could stick. Maybe something is up. Maybe Ryan could get traded. I don’t see anyone being interested in Kennedy though.

It does give the Cards some flexibility. It may be that we don’t really see any moves until into ST now, see what we actually have.
