Cardinals Prospect Patrick Romeri was drafted in 2019 directly out of high school at IMG Academy in Florida as an outfielder and signed for $200,000. He was already a signed recruit for Villanova but took the money and was sent to the Rookie Gulf Coast League.

He proceeded to hit .246 with six homer runs and 20 RBI’s in 41 games.  In 2021, he was assigned to Low- Palm Beach. For the PB Cardinals, he played in 79 games and batted .236 with 65 hits in 276 plate appearances and included 7 homers and 30 RBI’s with 42 base on balls and 95 strikeouts.

At 6’3″ and 195 lbs and 21 years old, he has the ability to barrel up pitches and drive the ball.The organization considers him a possible fast riser.  Currently he must beef up a bit more at the plate. His arm is strong and profiles to be a right fielder as he adds muscle.

At this time, Romeri is projected to reach the major leagues in 2023. there are six prospects on the list of Top 30 ahead of him. Also, currently the major league outfield is relatively young.
