Memphis outlasted Omaha 8-6 as the offense came alive. Tommy Pham, on rehab assignment, went 1-for-2 with 2 runs batted in. Mike Ohlman and Matt Williams each had 2 RBI’s and Patrick Wisdom added two hits. Arturo Reyes pitched 5.1 innings and allowed 7 hits and five earned runs before giving way to Heath Wyatt, Justin Wright and John Church.

Springfield defeated NW Arkansas 10-6 behind the scorching bat of Harrison Bader with a 4-for-5 game along with 2 runs batted in and CJ McElroy was 2-5 with 3 runs batted in. Paul DeJong added 2 runs batted in as did Bruce Caldwell.
Corey Baker got the win (2-0) as he went 6 innings with 5 hits allowed and he struck out 5 batters. Joey Donofrio and Chris Thomas pitched the last three innings of the game.
Mike Mayers (2-2, 3.54 ERA) gets the road start with first pitch at 7:05 against NW Arkansas. On Friday, it is Daniel Poncedeleon (1-2, 3.55 ERA) getting the game ball for the Redbirds.
Palm Beach was shutout 3-0 and only managed five singles in the game but fanned 8 times. Jacob Evans took the loss and Kyle Grana finished the last inning.

Peoria Chiefs lost 11-2 as they continue to struggle in the win column. However, Edmundo Sosa continued his hot hitting as he went 4-for-5 and Magnueris Sierra was 3-for-5 while Brian O’Keffe had two hits.

He gave up 7 hits and 3 earned runs in just less than five innings on the mound. Tyler Bray threw 3 innings and gave up 6 hits and four runs. Position played Dylan Beck pitched the last inning and allowed two hits and no runs.
Thursday the Chiefs are at home for a 6:30 start with Ryan Helsley on the mound. Friday Brennan Leitao gets the start for Peoria.
