Memphis (AAA)- Eduardo Sanchez blew a save chance for Memphis last night with one-third of an inning as he walked one, struck one and gave up a hit to allow two runs to score in the 10-9 loss. Adron Chambers smacked four hits and drove in two runs while Mark Hamilton homered for his 12th and drove in four runs in the loss.

Scott Gorgen had a bad outing going four innings and allowed 7 runs and 5 walks with 5 strike outs in the game. Jess Todd, Nick Greenwood and Chuckie Fick followed him on the mound before Sanchez entered. BOX SCORE.

Springfield (AA)- Chris Swauger got three hits and drove in two runs as the Springfield Cardinals were defeated by Midland 8-3. Prospect Carlos Martinez gave up 6 hits and 3 runs while fanning 7 in the 4.1 innings on the mound. He saw his record dip to 1-2 on the season. BOX SCORE.

Palm Beach (Adv-A)- Mike O’Neill led the Cardinals with a 4-for-5 night and three RBI. Nicholas
Longmire added two more hits and key RBI single. Ryan Sheriff started but only last 5.2 innings before Zach Russell tossed 2.1 innings of one-hit shutout ball to garner the win. BOX SCORE.

Quad Cities (A) – Recently signed Stephen Piscotty went 3-for-3 with three doubles, and the River Bandits picked up a 7-5 win over the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. Tyrell Jenkins pitched four innings, allowed just one run on four hits and walked one while striking out five. Heath Wyatt notched his 13th save of the season. BOX SCORE.
